Section 4: You are Your Most Important Resource (ACTIVITY)
The Creator provides many resources beyond those of spirit, body, material things, soul and time, to challenge and make demands on your potential. One such resource is you! You are also a resource.
In the last module, we read the Case Study on Mervin Stanley and saw in practice how one’s unique combination of traits, like personality, skills, talents, inherent passions, experiences, and attitude all lend themselves to the manifestation of purpose and potential actualized. In this module, we have learned the importance of embracing obedience, being responsible and recognizing, managing and applying our resources. Yet, there is one more resource we should explore which is YOU!
Understanding the significance of your value as a resource is being able to recognize, understand and appreciate what you already have. It is the perspective of seeing yourself entirely - the good, the bad and the “ugly” - as an asset. This is difficult for many of us, as humans often focus on what they lack or cannot do, especially in comparison to others.. You may have heard the saying, “comparison is the thief of joy.” But comparison is more than that—it can rob you of your uniqueness, potential, and gratitude.
The wealth of your resources is limitless if you open your eyes to their possibilities when you are divinely aligned. Give generously from your abundance. Give of yourself from your abundance. View your resources (including yourself) as gifts to be used in service to the Creator instead of property to be hoarded for personal gain.
Take stock of your resources. Perhaps you have a home filled with things that you have worked hard to buy. Do you reserve that house as shelter for your family alone, or do you welcome strangers into its warmth? Do you value the insights of your parents or your elders? Do you give thanks for your spouse, the companion that has been graciously given to you? If you are single, do you take advantage of the freedom of singleness gives, to serve others with dedication, effectively and wholeheartedly?
No matter your financial status, you are accountable for the wealth of your resources. You have a responsibility to discover, enhance, and cultivate the gifts you have received. This task begins with recognizing that you are indeed wealthy—maybe not by worldly standards, but certainly by divine standards. The Creator observes your attitudes and closely watches how you use or misuse the resources provided to you.
MODULE 5 ACTIVITY
PART ONE: DISCUSSION POST
[Due: Wednesday, December 18, 2024 | Midnight - Your Timezone]
Section One:
Unlocking your potential begins with understanding the resources at your disposal.
What unique gifts, personality traits, and skills make you who you are? Think about the spiritual, material, physical, emotional, and time resources you have access to—how can you intentionally invest these into your action plan to maximize your potential?
Section Two:
Now that you have submitted a draft of your action plan and received feedback, let’s reflect on the process and make commitments for improvements.
What was the most insightful part of developing an action plan and your Potential Declaration? What were some of your strengths? What are you committing to improve in your presentation?
Now, reflect on your personal growth edges or weaknesses—how might they shape or challenge your Action Plan? What promises must you make to yourself to push beyond these limits and succeed? Finally, consider your personal strengths—how can they serve as a foundation to strengthen your plan and ensure your growth?
What promises are you responsible for making plain to yourself to succeed?
Let’s discuss and inspire one another!
