Section 3: Mankind is Made to Dominate Earth
The Manufacturer created us to dominate, subdue, and have sovereignty and control over the entire earth (not over other people.) But when we stepped out of purpose in the Garden, we lost touch with our Source. The Creator’s original design was reversed; we became confused and allowed the earth to dominate us.
Every problem we now face can be traced back to the root cause, which is us (mankind) not fulfilling our purpose to dominate the earth. When we become dominated by things we are supposed to dominate, the world goes off course.
The narrative that humanity has shifted away from its original purpose to exert dominion and stewardship over the earth, instead becoming ensnared by materialism and power struggles, reflects a deep theological and ecological critique. The concept is rooted in the belief that humans were intended to responsibly manage the earth's resources and maintain balance within the natural world. Instead, the pursuit of wealth, often symbolized by money—a mere product of natural resources like trees—has led to widespread ethical and environmental degradation.
This divergence from our original purpose has not only led to environmental degradation but also to societal and interpersonal conflicts. The confusion between having dominion over the earth—as in managing its resources responsibly—and exerting power over other people has led to significant strife and suffering. This misplaced dominion manifests in the violence and greed that disrupt societal harmony and sustainability.
We have confused dominion over the earth with dominion over the world. Just as the domination of things over people is destroying the world, so too is the domination of people by people.
The Creator gave man dominion over the earth (nature & things) and not over the world (people.) This causes pain and violence. So much pain and problems in the world are a result of our failure to understand that our Creator gave us dominion over the earth, not over other people (the world.) Dominion comes with the responsibility to dominate and take care of the earth, as well as take care of each other, this is the true definition of sovereignty.
True sovereignty, as originally intended, involves a balanced approach that encompasses leadership and care for the environment and each other. This holistic understanding of dominion implies not just authority over the natural world but also a custodial responsibility to preserve and enhance it for future generations.
