Section 1: Connection to The Source

Everything created thrives by staying attached to its source; your journey is no different—nurture your connection to realize your true potential.

The second question in the 5 Questions to Mental Freedom or Success is “where am I from?” This question does not speak to one’s place of origin. Instead, this question refers to the “source” of one’s creation. In other words, “what materials or resources were used in the process of creation?”

When the world was created, The Creator first decided what He desired each creation to be “made of.” Then The Creator spoke to that source/resource.  Thus, the creation that materialized depended on what The Creator said and what source was spoken to. When mankind was Created, the Creator spoke to themselves saying “let us, create man in OUR image and likeness.”

In module three, you gained a true understanding of what image and likeness means. Therefore, in the case of human beings, you already know and understand that likeness relates to the characteristics, attributes and the “being” of our Creator. There has been a long standing debate throughout human history regarding what is the most significant factor in the development or manifestation of one’s personality and being. This popular debate centers around the comparisons of  nature v. nurture. While this debate has yet to be resolved, it is widely accepted that both play a cultural role in the development of one’s person and state of being.

The nature and characteristics of Our Creator are the source of our natural abilities and gifts. They are also the standard for what we should aspire to because of what has been shown to us,  as possible for us, by our Creator. While nurture speaks to the necessary relationship that needs to exist between you and your source for you to realize your full potential. A thing has to remain attached to where it came from in order to fulfill itself. Plants need soil to survive and fish need water. The potential of everything is related to its source and everything must be attached to its source if it is going to fulfill its potential. This means that you must remain conscious of the truth that realizing your potential requires an ongoing infusion from The Source, The Truevine, our Creator and Manufacturer.

Your Creator’s attributes are revealed to you through a deep, nurturing connection and the manifestation of your full being relies on this connection. Unfortunately, many times when people realize initial levels of success they start to decrease their infusions and connectedness with the source. For example, people will fast,  pray and look to The Source for the breakthrough, but celebrate receiving the breakthrough in the nightclub. Or one might go to church consistently and spend time reading the bible in their season of waiting, but when the outcome they desire materializes they draw away from The Source. Or many do not realize the significance of knowing their true source and never actually tap in.

To realize our full potential the goal is to remain tapped in. The more you connect with your source, the more changes you will see in the way that you live and make your decisions. Watch this animated short on a teaching of this concept by Dr. Myles Munroe.
