Section 2: Obedience to The Law is Faith in Action

Obedience to The Creator’s Laws is faith in action. One of the most commonly known and quoted scriptures is “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen.” (NKJV) or as written in the NIV translation of The Bible “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for, and assurance about what we do not see.” Obedience requires us to make a decision to commit outcomes that we cannot see, by trusting our Creator who we also cannot see. Yet, faith is the currency of potential, we spend faith to realize our potential, and like our faith our potential are those things that have yet to be seen.

We have learned that potential is unused success, untapped strength, and unexposed ability which means that potential is “things not seen/what we do not see.”  If faith is the “confidence in what we hope for, and assurance about what we do not see,” then faith is an assurance about potential. This means that we cannot realize our potential unless we have faith.

To realize your potential faith is not an option, it is a requirement. It is the superpower that we have to actualize to activate and release The Creator’s will for our lives. In unit one, we explored the importance of self-education and reading The Word. Romans 10:17 reveals to us that  “… faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of God.” This means to activate faith we must consume the Word. When we expose ourselves to the Word by reading it, as well as speaking it over our lives, we are “hearing” the word of God. When we read and meditate on the Word, we hear it in our subconscious mind. Meditation on the word is a requirement for true faith. When we open the listening gates of our soul to messages, teachings, and songs centered around the Creator, we are hearing the Word. All of these things build our faith, and our faith is a requirement for realized potential.

Faith requires you to function by believing something before you see or feel it. This is contrary to what your body wants to do. Your body, which is your flesh, wants you to see first. Yet, living by faith requires that you put your body under submission, and allow your spirit to control so that you can believe before seeing.

On the other hand, your soul will demand that it wants you to feel before you believe. This is because your soul is governed by your emotions, your will and your mind. Your soul is the one that says to you “I don’t feel as though I can do it,” or “I don't feel qualified” Yet, just because you may not feel what the Creator says about you is true in any given moment, you must not surrender to your feelings and instead must choose to believe (by faith) that you can do all things (through Christ who strengthens you.)

It is by faith that you must realize that we experience an ongoing dialogue with Spirit. Many people doubt their ability to recognize their purpose and potential. Yet, the Creator communicates with us often through the ideas, dreams and daydreams that we receive about what we can do, and what is possible for our lives.

Therefore, to unlock your potential, you will need to believe before you can see. Confidence in yourself and Your Creator is required to realize the promises for your life. Faith is a key ingredient of the Creator’s will for your purpose and potential. You were created to live by faith, therefore our Creator established faith as the only system through which humanity can activate our divinely ordained power.

Potential demands faith, and faith makes a demand on your potential.
