Section 4: The Importance of Redeeming the Time

Redeeming time is an intentional act of reclaiming power over distractions and misalignments. It prioritizes purpose, turning every moment into a step closer to your divine destiny.

It is very easy to misuse or abuse time, and we are all guilty of having done so at some point in our lives. Yet, The Creator intended for time to be a source of relief and protection for mankind. The true purpose of time prevails when we take the steps to redeem the time. Redeeming the time is about being intentional and reclaiming one’s power in response to time. Being intentional about how we spend and manage our time is essential for the discovery and fulfillment of our individual purpose.

There are many distractions and set-backs in life that could derail our relationship with time. Yet, our divine responsibility to this universal gift we have received is to protect it. We must be proactive with our time by taking the time to plan how we want to spend our time. This could come in the form of planning and setting goals for annual quarters, months or days. Being intentional about creating personal protocols and conventions around time management is very important.

Even when we have the best intentions, there maybe be times that we are actively using our calendars and schedules to manage our time but we may have misprioritized the time still. For example, we may include in our tasks or time projects or conversations which may be good to do but not right for our purpose. Therefore, we must be adamant about pursuing only our passions, protecting purpose from distraction and derailment. In addition to protecting our plans and priorities, we must identify and establish what we consider as things of value, edifying or meaningful. Therefore, each decision that we make should be based on the fulfillment of our individual purpose and identity. The first steps that you can take to redeem the time is to make an inventory of associations and investments.  In doing so, it is paramount that you accept that you cannot and should not be trying to please everyone, so don't!
