Section 1: What is Potential?

Potential is the Creator's gift to humanity—a reservoir of untapped strength and dormant abilities waiting to be revealed. It calls us to reach beyond current achievements, inspiring us to grow into the fullness of our purpose.

The true power in unleashing your purpose comes from understanding the tremendous potential that you possess. Potential is fuel for your purpose. When you uncover your purpose you automatically begin discovering your potential and should commit yourself to releasing and maximizing it in your lifetime. It is a tragedy to know that with over seven billion people on this planet today, only a minute percentage will experience a significant fraction of their true potential. The failure to make a commitment to releasing your potential makes you a candidate for contributing to the wealth of the cemetery. Your potential was not given for you to deposit in the grave. You must make the decision in the here and now not to rob the world of the rich, valuable, potent, untapped resources locked away within you. Remember, the greatest tragedy in life is not death, but a life that never realized its full potential. Potential is power, is unexposed ability and latent power.

Potential is always present, waiting to be exposed. It demands that you never settle for what you have accomplished in the past. Potential does not look backwards, instead potential reaches towards future success. Potential demands that you never settle for what you have accomplished. What you have done is no longer your potential. It is said that unless you do something beyond what you have done, you will never grow or experience your full potential. One of the greatest enemies of potential is not failure but success. In order to realize your full potential, you must never be satisfied with your last accomplishment. It is also important that you never let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.

You were created with limitless potential. Before you were born, the Creator placed the seed, purpose and potential in you to become a fully self-actualized human being. Therefore, an important truth is that in all things that the Creator made, implanted within them is the ability to be much more than it is at any one moment. There are many selves within you that lie dormant, untapped and unused. The Creator is always looking for us to activate what is not yet visible. The Creator  sees potential within us that often exceeds what is apparent externally, expecting us to reach beyond what we initially perceive as our limits. Conversely, people frequently settle for what they have, either from satisfaction or resignation, believing nothing better is attainable. Never accept success as a lifestyle—it is merely a phase. The minute we begin to settle down and be satisfied with what we have, we lose the possibility of revealing what is really inside us. Too often we die without exploring the gifts, abilities, and successes that lay hidden within us. When we fail to realize the vast potential that is stored within us, we are like batteries in a radio that is never played— our potential is wasted.

When we settle for our last success or when our thoughts, ideas and possibilities are not used our potential is wasted. Never accept an accomplishment as the end— it is but a mark in the process. You are the  offspring of an omnipotent Creator (full of power). Therefore you are full of endless potential and there is no retirement in potential. Our purpose is evidenced by our potential, given that our potential manifests through our gifts and skills, our potential then fuels our purpose. Therefore, purpose without potential is a source of frustration. Purpose and potential are intertwined and interact in a reciprocal relationship.
