Section 2: Your Purpose Protects and Sustains You

Protection Produces Patience

Purpose acts as a profound source of protection, extending beyond mere physical safety to encompass mental and emotional resilience. When you align with your purpose, it instills a sense of confidence that buffers against life's challenges, such as fear, worry, and external distractions. This confidence comes from a deep-seated belief that nothing can truly harm you before your purpose is fulfilled, providing a kind of existential armor. This notion implies that understanding your purpose can even guard against premature end, bolstering the idea that you are 'invincible' until your life's mission is complete.

However, recognizing and living according to your purpose doesn't necessarily simplify life; instead, it makes life possible, infusing it with meaning and direction. With this understanding, life becomes filled with possibilities, fostering hope. And with hope comes the need for patience—patience to see your purpose fully realized in its proper time. This relationship between purpose, protection, and patience highlights a holistic approach to living that emphasizes the importance of spiritual and emotional alignment with one's deeper goals.

Thus, purpose doesn’t just direct your actions; it shields you, empowering you to navigate life's complexities with assurance and peace. Living a life of purpose means you understand and embrace life has seasons, yet you keep your faith through them all.  This sense of security, anchored in faith,  enables you to endure, confident that the outcomes of your efforts will align with what has been promised or foreseen for you.

Perseverance Inspires Faithfulness

Purpose empowers perseverance. Perseverance is the ability to remain faithful and press on in the face of seemingly insurmountable, desperate and hopeless situations. Whenever a person finds and acts on their purpose, even if they’re facing obstacles that seem impossible, purpose will triumph. Often these difficulties are a part of the journey to better prepare you and to equip you with the necessary experiences for the task ahead. When you are convinced of the activation and presence of divine purpose in your life then you have the ability to stand firm and persevere with passion. Such unwavering dedication not only fosters deep faithfulness but also empowers you to persist and maintain trust in the assurances that are promised by the Creator. This commitment encourages a continuous journey, keeping you motivated and focused on the overarching promises and goals that guide your path.

Objectivity Develops Self-Control

Purpose protects you from being distracted by other people’s assignments, good activities, unrelated work and/or company. Purpose allows you to be objective which keeps you focused and results in self-control. Objectivity shifts perspective, those things that once seemed tempting or attractive prior to purpose now look less appealing when you measure them in terms of fulfilling your purpose. Knowing your direction helps you avoid unnecessary detours and distractions, which previously might have seemed enjoyable or worthwhile.. When purpose clearly guides your life, it's like removing blinders from your eyes, enabling you to see and avoid distractions for what they truly are. This builds character and self-control and results in greater commitment and focus. Building character, focus commitment and self-control leads to contentment.
